Helpful Tips

• It may feel slightly oily at first, but it absorbs within minutes and leaves skin soft, nourished, and comfortable.

• Texture changes & graininess: If your body cream looks grainy or has small balls of shea butter, that’s a normal response to temperature changes. It’s perfectly fine to use as-is — warming it between your hands will help it melt smoothly as you apply.

• If your body cream melted in shipping and you prefer a firmer texture: Gently melt it completely, either in a small pan on the stovetop or in a microwave-safe container, heating it to at least 175°F. Stir thoroughly, then immediately refrigerate until solid. Fully melting it to at least 175°F and then rapidly cooling it gives the fats the opportunity to form a firmer crystalline structure. If you prefer an even firmer texture, it can be stored in the refrigerator and used directly from there.

Note: It will soften in warmer temperatures and harden in cooler ones. 

Natural scent note: Unrefined shea butter is traditionally processed over open fires, which gives it a naturally smoky scent. The strength of this scent varies from batch to batch and is completely normal.

FAQs

Is this body cream scented?
No. There is no added fragrance or essential oils. Any scent comes naturally from the unrefined shea butter and may vary slightly between batches.

Can I use this on my face?
Yes. Many customers use it on the face, especially for dry or normal skin. Use a very small amount, as it is rich and concentrated.

Is this suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. This formula contains only three organic ingredients and no fragrance, making it a good option for sensitive or reactive skin types.

Why did my cream melt or arrive grainy?
Because this is an all-natural, oil-based product, it reacts to temperature changes during shipping. Melting or graininess is normal and does not affect quality. Simple melting and re-cooling will restore the texture (see instructions above).
