Micro-Batch Deodorant Manufacturing | Small Production Runs

Micro-Batch Deodorant Manufacturing

50-Unit Small Runs

Island Deodorant offers a micro-batch option for brands that want product in hand before committing to a standard private label production run. This is a premium service with a small minimum quantity and a streamlined process.

Micro-Batch Price: $550 flat for 50 deodorant sticks

  • All-in pricing: Includes setup, container sourcing, production time, cleanup, and one-piece label
  • Real production run: Hand-poured small-batch manufacturing using an established base formula
  • Lower commitment: Validate your direction before committing to a full private label run

Why Brands Choose Micro-Batch

Micro-batch manufacturing is often the most practical next step for brands that want real product in hand without overcommitting too early. Instead of guessing, you’re able to work with finished deodorant sticks made using an established formula and production process.

  • Validate before scaling: Confirm your formula choice, container style, and overall direction
  • Lower upfront commitment: Access real manufacturing without jumping straight into a 300+ unit run
  • Same standards, smaller run: Produced using the same formulas and methods as our standard private label orders
  • Clear upgrade path: If the micro-batch works for you, moving into full private label production is straightforward

For many brands, micro-batch removes uncertainty and replaces it with clarity — making the next decision easier and more informed.

What You Get

  • 50 finished deodorant sticks, fully manufactured and filled
  • One base formula selected from our established deodorant formulas
  • One container style provided by us
  • Unscented or scented using a fragrance or essential oil you provide
  • One-piece color label (optional) or unlabeled

Manufacturing process: Small-batch hot-pour filling performed manually by an operator, with batch-level blending and controlled pours.

Container Options

Micro-batches are available in one of the following plastic container styles (one container type per run):

  • Top-fill oval twist-up container with 2.65 oz of deodorant (sourced from the USA – fastest option, typically available in shiny white)
  • Bottom-fill round twist-up container with 3.1 oz of deodorant (sourced from China – slower sea shipping, usually available in black, white, or clear, shiny or matte finish)

Labeling/Branding

Optional one-piece label included. This label is designed for internal use, sampling, testing, and presentation.

  • Client provided: your PNG logo and brand/product name (supplied by you)
  • Fixed: ingredient list and fill weight in a fixed font layout
  • Label shape: Oval label on round containers; rounded square label on oval containers
  • Best on white containers: Labels have a white background and look best on white containers

If you prefer a fully custom label design you are welcome to source labels independently.

Scents

If you choose a scented micro-batch, you must provide the fragrance or essential oil. Micro-batches are produced at a standard 3% scent strength unless scent samples are ordered first.

Want a stronger scent than 3%?

Scent Samples (optional): $100 per scent. You’ll receive three sample sticks total (3%, 4%, and 5%). We will not produce a micro-batch above 3% without completed scent samples.

Lead Time & Scheduling

Micro-batches are scheduled as orders come in. Lead times may extend if multiple orders are in queue. We will advise you of the current lead time when you are ready to proceed.

Important: Even for micro-batch orders, many details of private labeling still apply. Before reaching out, please review our Private Label Checklist for key information related to packaging, labeling, timelines, and common pitfalls.

Is Micro-Batch the Right Fit?

  • Best for: market testing, pilot launches, small retailers, and founders who want product in hand before committing to a full private label run
  • Not ideal for: brands needing large resale margins at small quantities
  • Upgrade path: you may scale into standard private label production later

Before contacting us: This option is designed for clients who are ready to make decisions and move forward efficiently. Please review the details on this page carefully before reaching out.
