Helpful Tips

• Because this deodorant is made with natural butters and oils, it will soften in warm temperatures and firm up in cooler ones. This is normal.

• If your deodorant cream looks grainy or has little balls of shea butter, that’s a normal response to temperature changes (often from shipping). It’s perfectly fine to use as-is — warming it in your hands will smooth it out as you apply. If you prefer a smoother texture, gently remelt it, stir well, and refrigerate briefly to cool quickly.

• Unrefined shea butter is traditionally processed over open fires, which gives it a naturally smoky scent. The strength of this scent varies from batch to batch and is completely normal.

Switching from conventional antiperspirant? Your armpits may go through a detox period. This can include temporary odor or staining on clothing while your body adjusts, and usually resolves within a few weeks.

Note: Our natural deodorants may soften in warmer temperatures and harden in cooler ones. This does not affect performance.

FAQs

Does the cream work as well as the stick version?
Many people love the cream format. However, because this formula is baking soda free, it may not provide the same level of odor protection as our Original formula. If you need stronger odor control and aren’t sensitive to baking soda, we recommend our Original deodorant.

Why is my cream grainy?
Graininess happens when the shea butter cools slowly during shipping or temperature changes. It’s normal and safe to use. It will melt into your skin as you apply, or you can gently remelt and stir it if you prefer a perfectly smooth texture.

Is it safe for sensitive skin?
Yes. This formula is specifically designed for people who cannot tolerate baking soda. It contains no aluminum, no added fragrance, and no common irritants.

Is it normal to smell more when switching from antiperspirant?
Yes. Detox is common and temporary. As your sweat glands adjust, odor may increase briefly, but it typically normalizes within a few weeks.
